Ever since covid-19 closed down businesses and schools, restaurant delivery services have been on the rise.
- In the past three months, 75% of businesses have gone to delivery or pick up as an alternative to dining in the restaurant.
My best friend recently got a job in the delivery service, but he is not working at a restaurant. He is working for a medical marijuana delivery service. Three days each week, he delivers medical marijuana to local residents. On the other two days of the work week, he works inside the store as a budtender. My best friend read about the job online and decided to apply. He had two different interviews with the manager and the district supervisor. They talked for an hour in each interview. They made my buddy wait five days before they called to tell him the good news. The next day, my best friend had to drive two hours to attend a budtenders school. He spent two 8 hour days in class, but the medical marijuana company paid for his gas and meals both dys. After the class was over, he had to take a knowledge test. Now he is working for the medical marijuana dispensary. The job pays well and he doesn’t even have to use his own car for deliveries. They have a special car Wednesday night medical marijuana dispensary logo and phone number on the side. I’m very happy for my best friend and he seems really happy with the new job. He also gets weed for 50% off regular price and that’s a huge bonus!
