I’m looking for employment at a cannabis growing facility

Once I was laid off from our call center job last week, I figured I could simply find work in retail or something similar.

Surprisingly, since our state raised its minimum wage last year, a lot of entry level positions are either already taken or are extremely competitive.

I was able to get space time work at a grocery store while I continued to look for another full time well paying job. As several say, when you’re desperate for steady work, finding a job becomes a job itself. You get in the habit of scouring numerous websites and other posted listings to find some diamond in the rough. I had little advantage with this approach, and then I decided to take a long shot and begin reaching out to a few random companies. The first company was a music retailer that operates a website and sells their inventory out of a warehouse. All sales are done electronically and are packaged into boxes to be shipped out directly to customers’ homes. Unluckily, they weren’t looking for additional assistance. Then the minute company, this time an important recreational marijuana company in our state, was looking for help at their growing facility. They needed help trimming and packaging cannabis flower buds after they’re harvested from the cultivation rooms. All of the things that are inside the important facility is controlled and set to a steady and consistent indoor temperature. Most often the air conditioning is a bit colder than what I like, however it has to remain that way to prevent microscopic mold spores from getting on the dry cured flower buds. It’s taking time to finish our training, however so far I like now working at a marijuana farming facility.
