Large scale cannabis grow operations require around the clock maintenance

I was surprised about the immense degree or work involved at an orchard or fruit processing facility.

I toured a citrus farming operation years ago when I was in college taking science courses. It was interesting to see what goes into getting oranges and lemons sitting on the shelves at the grocery stores. There are endless rows of trees in the citrus groves that have to be painstakingly cared after and nurtured while they take a beating from the unpredictable climate and weather changes in our region. If it gets too cold during the winter season, it could compromise large portions of their fruit crops. That’s why they have around the clock cameras to monitor every aspect of the cultivation process 24hours a day. My friend who works for a medical marijuana company told me that their indoor and outdoor grow facilities are similar in this regard. Not only do the large scale cannabis grow operations need around the clock surveillance, they also need around the clock maintenance. They have a night crew whose sole purpose is to make sure everything is operating safely while the main crew is at home sleeping. If there’s a power outage outside of the cannabis growing facility, the backup generators inside will switch on. This way the growing operation is never interrupted by unforeseen variables like electricity outages or extreme weather. Every part of the marijuana growing process has been infused with the scientific advances we have made over the past century. Never before have we had the ability to farm cannabis like we do today. The quality of the cannabis at the dispensaries gets better as the growing process improves.
