When you’re entirely young, in fantastic shape and fit, the last thing you expect to hear from your doctor is that you have been diagnosed with cancer. When I heard the words testicular cancer, everything after that was pretty much a blur. It was as though I was underwater or something similar to that. The sounds were getting through but were easily garbled. So I am lucky I wasn’t alone or I might not have understood that I had an absolutely fantastic chance of completely beating this type of cancer. And thanks to medical marijuana, I am battling with all I have. Once I had the diagnosis, everything went pretty speedily. There was a surgery to remove the mass and check how far the cancer had spread. Then it was into chemo. This is where medical cannabis first began coming through for me. The chemo slammed me hard and I was nauseous fairly regularly. I had zero appetite. But after my husband went to the legal weed store for some particular medical marijuana products, it got better pretty fast. At first, I used the cannabis flower products but I was having a tough time not coughing everything out. So we decided to go with cannabis edibles. That was the definite answer. It absolutely got me through chemo. Now that I am dealing with the radiation procedures, medical marijuana is assisting me with managing the pain and helping me keep a positive outlook. And being positive is one of the critical things a man in my situation can do. It won’t be too much longer I hope before I am totally in remission. Thanks to medical marijuana I have a fantastic degree of confidence that will truly happen.
