One of the kids has a fake ID

I’m not 100% sure, but I think one of my kids has a fake ID.

A couple of months ago, I found a bottle of vodka in Jack’s bedroom.

It was a small bottle and it was unopened. I didn’t say anything about the bottle and Jack never asked why the vodka disappeared. For a second, I thought maybe someone else left the bottle in his room. Then last week, I found a bag of recreational cannabis in his room. Recreational cannabis is legal in this state, but you have to be 21 years old to purchase the supplies. Even medical cannabis is 18 years old, and Jack is only 17. The cannabis dispensary product had a label and it was from one of the local shops. I searched around the room while Jack was at school. I found a couple of items from cannabi shops and one of them had a receipt in the bag. The purchase had a name that was the same as something else I saw earlier. There was a receipt for a guy named Jacque Martin and my son’s name is Jack Martinez. I confronted my son with the information and he denied knowing anything at all about the cannabis, the vodka or the strange name. Eventually Jack is going to make a mistake and I’m going to figure out what’s been going on. Until then, I continue to watch with vigilance and caution. It’s times like these when I wish my husband was more involved. He only sees our son twice a year and Jack could really use some male guidance.
