All of us call it the Single Dad Cannabis Club, and the people I was with and I meet once a week, however everyone takes a turn hosting. Since the people I was with and I are all single dads the people I was with and I all have to bring our kids with us. Each week the people I was with and I all pool our money to hire 1 or 2 local babysitters! These chaperones spend a few minutes enjoying the whole group of kids, while the single dads go outside and get stoned, for that brief stage of time the people I was with and I are free to relax, be ourselves, and vent about our lives, however it’s the only time any of us get free “adult time” to commiserate. I know that all single parents reading this will understand, however other people might not get it… Cannabis Club isn’t about complaining about our kids, because the people I was with and I all appreciate being parents! But no matter how much I appreciate being a Dad, I need that mental cut of smoking marijuana with our pals, even if just for a few minutes… At lake current home I don’t get the occasion to smoke out really often, and when I can get high usually it’s with cannabis edibles or gummies. If the kiddos are around I don’t want them choking on cannabis smoke, because the people I was with and I all know how suddenly it can hot-box a house! During Cannabis Club the people I was with and I usually have a series of blunts, joints, and pipes that are passed around continuously throughout the evening. The kids are safe and having fun inside the house, and all the dads can leisurely appreciate some recreational cannabis and talk about life. Cannabis Club gives us something to look forward to.
