Manager positions opens up at cannabis dispensary

I was working as an office administrator for 3 years, before the company had to close its doors.

I was responsible for ordering supplies, cleaning the office, and scheduling employees.

I had a few additional responsibilities, but those were the biggest. When the company closed its doors, I had to find another job. I put my resume on indeed, monster, and ZipRecruiter. I waited weeks and weeks, before I had a call for an interview. The interview was at a cannabis dispensary and the position was manager. I knew we had three different cannabis dispensaries in our city, but I’ve never stepped foot in a single one. I haven’t used cannabis for recreational reasons since I was in college. I didn’t know if I was the right candidate for the job, but it was the first call I received in 2 months. I decided to put my best foot forward and agree to the interview. On Monday morning of this week, I met with the managing partner for the cannabis dispensary. The same company owns all three locations. The gentleman was very nice and energetic. He asked me a lot of questions. I couldn’t answer some of the questions, because my knowledge on marijuana and CBD products is minimal. Luckily, the managing partner liked my application and background. He didn’t mind that I had very little information on cannabis products. He instantly offered me the job and I accepted. Next week I am going to attend a cannabis training class. I should learn a lot of information about everything for sale in the dispensary. After the week of training is over, I’ll start fresh on Monday.
