Types of grow lights

With growing marijuana, choosing the best lighting source is key.

There are three options to choose from in the growing process.

You can have fluorescent, HID or LED lights. Fluorescent lights are those common, twisty bulbs that are easy to find in local department stores. These types of lights are not a bad choice with growing marijuana. They are cheap, readily available and they create a pretty broad spectrum of light. What is nice is that the lights don’t get too hot and won’t burn the plant. They can literally be inches away from the plant saving on space. The downside is that fluorescent lights will produce smaller yields and leave your plants quite short. HID lights which stands for high definition lights, are the most efficient grow lights. They produce the highest yields and don’t cost much in terms of electricity. Additionally, when setting up the light there is no guesswork on how far or how close they need to go like LED lights. There is no adjusting the build either like with fluorescent lights. The downside however is that due to the broad light, the bulbs get hot. It is also more than just a bulb needed. Most people use exhaust fans and have a complicated setup process. Typically, growers use LED lights for their crop. LED lights have a built-in cooling function so that the poor plants don’t get burned. You additionally can plug the light in and get moving. There is no wasted setup process. The lights also have said to give off more resinous bulbs. The downside is that you need a lot of space when using these lights and an exhaust fan built in.
