I was looking at our local newspaper the other day, which isn’t something that I normally do. But I was over at my Grandmother’s apartment where she still gets the local newspaper delivered to her doorstep every single day. Sometimes it’s a lot of fun to rest and read about all of the things that are going on in the local section and so I settled down at her kitchen nook table and started to flip through the paper. The first thing I noticed that was on the genuinely front page of the paper, there was a headline story about someone who was trying to open up a recreational cannabis store near us in our town. I was gleeful because our little city is not well known for any kind of progress at all. If someone was able to open up a recreational cannabis store anywhere in our immediate area, it’s going to legitimately be a huge deal for the locals. I personally suppose that a cannabis store would be genuinely beneficial for our town. It would bring in a lot of tax dollars and tourists, since there really aren’t a whole lot of marijuana dispensaries anywhere else in the area. I guess that more people would entirely come here from all over to purchase their recreational pot and cbd oils and products if the store ever actually gets approval to open up… Hey, at least it’s 1 step in the right direction for this county even if they do vote it down at the council meeting. I’m stoked that someone around here has the guts to even try to sell legal marijuana in this end of the state.
