Craft beers vs cannabis strains

Several of my friends have gotten into craft beers lately. I mean, they have gotten really into them, to the point where every time they hand you a beer it comes with a 5 minute lecture about where it came from, or how it was made. I try to smile and nod and play along like it’s interesting, when honestly I am fine with a Coors Light, so long as it is nice and cold. Craft beers aren’t really my thing, but I understand the enthusiasm, because that’s the same sort of passion I have for cannabis. I find everything about the growing and cultivation of cannabis to be fascinating, because there is a surprising amount of science behind it. We aren’t talking throwing some seeds into a pot and putting it under a grow light, these people work for years developing hybrid strains and cannabis with unique coloration, taste, and effect. THC content can be controlled at the source, which is simply fascinating to me. Of course what happens, both with craft beer and with cannabis, is that the more you learn the more you turn into a pretentious snob. I freely admit I won’t smoke just any old ditch weed, I have high standards and tend to prefer Indica strains. I will smoke any number of cannabis blends, mind you, I just happen to like the taste and effect of Indica the best. More and more I have been getting into cannabis edibles, because I like how they give you that physical full-body feeling of relaxation while leaving my head clear.
