Depending on the size and quality of dispensary you happen to work in, occasionally you need to take cannabis education courses in order to be a budtender at that place.
The cannabis dispensary that hired me did not require any education outside of my own research. I had to take a couple of tests and answer their questions to prove my expertise. Other than that, no outside education was actually required. I kind of wanted to try out a cannabis course though. I figured there is typically more to learn on any given subject. I actually know how to sell and how a dispensary should be set up. I came to find there is hemp and CBD training courses too, and CBD is a portion of the marijuana plant that has been doing some impressive things. It is able to reduce inflammation, increase appetite, help a person sleep and even take care of chronic pain. I honestly don’t know the cannabis science behind this though. I am aware that it can do these things. The how is pretty much lost on me. I figured I could truly google and retain the expertise, but I wanted to try a course for myself. The cannabis education facility I found was really professional. The staff was super expertiseable and extremely friendly. They are so confident in their program that they provided me a free demo. I was able to attend a single class for free to just try out. In that single class I was able to learn so much more about CBD. It was mind blowing how much content was given. I sort of wished I would have brought a notebook or ipad for it. I am for sure going to sign up for CBD training.
