Trying marijuana growing since I retired

After I retired, my wife told me I needed to get a hobby.

I tried golf and realized that I am so bad at it.

I hate birdwatching, tennis, bingo and I don’t enjoy painting. All the traditional retirement activities are not for me. I then started researching what things require a lot of time and patience. I thought maybe I could stumble upon a hobby that way. A lot of people talked about growing marijuana and how difficult it is. The process is very specific. It requires a lot of money to start up, time to care for the product and knowledge to handle it. I figured I had all of these things. I am now trying out marijuana growing and so far it is going well. I did not want to be a major growing op though. I simply made myself a little grow box and I have it set up in my basement. Since it is so cold and marijuana plants require higher temperatures and moisture, I invested in a humidifier and a heating device. I also bought LED lights to be right above my marijuana plants and a hydroponic system to water them at the right time. Currently I have about six plants in the vegetative stage. I can’t wait for the flowering stage to happen. I then can see if I have male or female plants. I also know that I am getting closer to harvesting. Who knows, if this turns out I might invest in more plants. It would be cool to have a whole greenhouse where I grow the product. Maybe I can make some money off of it.
