Cannabis edibles should be permitted in our state

When our state finally decided to pass their medical marijuana legislation, they did not bother to include smokable marijuana.

This totally frustrated a lot of folks & the laws were changed in a hurry the next year.

Unfortunately, our state is a single one of the states that does not permit marijuana edibles to be sold. There are ways that local dispensaries can get passed this law. I have come to find only a few edible products in the dispensary, & they do not taste good in the least. One cannabis dispensary offers these mint tablets that are perfectly edible. They taste something like Altoids or Crest toothpaste. They only come in 5mg strength though, which is particularly low. It takes at minimum 50 or 60 mg of THC for myself and others to recognize any effects. I would have to eat a bottle of edible tablets to recognize any effects. This past week, another local cannabis dispensary decided to come out with an edible tincture product. This product is called a tincture drop, each drop is infused with 10 mg of THC. I picked up a whole basket of 10 tablets for $20. I was genuinely hoping they would taste far better than the edible mints. Honestly, they taste even worse than the other product. These edible tincture drops taste pretty much like a menthol & eucalyptus Halls cough drop. They are filled with a relatively strong menthol flavor. If you enjoy sucking on a cough drop all day long, then this might be the perfect edible marijuana product for you. I could not even finish just one tablet before I had to throw it away entirely. I can’t wait until the dispensaries start to carry products such as pot brownies, space cake, & gummy worms.
