When I was in school risking our education while stealthily smoking weed in our dorm room, I wondered when the Drug War would finally end.
That was a little over 10 years ago & I’m cheerful to say that I have had a medical marijuana card in our state for the past various years straight.
In the start, the available products were scant & rather pathetic to the offerings out west. There were syringes of dubious “cannabis oil” that you could squeeze onto a piece of candy or drop into a dabbing rig for vaporization. The two of us also had cannabis tinctures, topical creams, pre-filled vaporizer cartridges, capsules, & THC infused nasal spray. I wasn’t surprised by the lack of cannabis flower products at first because this was par for the course in other states as well. But it easily shocked me when I saw the pushback from the state regarding cannabis edibles. For 1, a droplet of distillate oil is just as much a cannabis “edible” as a capsule is, so I was surprised. Thankfully our state finally changed its rules & we have better cannabis edibles here all of the time. Each year it seems prefer our access to marijuana edibles improves & I’m excited about being able to try things prefer cannabis Starbucks Coffee & chewing gum. Some people might find these products to be a little gimmicky, even though I don’t know we can ever have too various routes of administration regarding cannabis & various marijuana products. The two of us finally have cannabis flower products in whole-plant form & that took some time to fight for as well, since our state government restricted it in the genuinely start. At least the cannabis program in this state is always evolving with time.
