Cassie and I have been dating for six months.
- I met her at a convenience store.
Both of us were looking for a candy bar and we started joking around about our sweet tooth and shared love of candy. I told her that I was at the gas station for candy, because I was really high and I had the munchies. She laughed and the two of us exchanged phone numbers. Cassie often mentioned the fact that she did not like the fact that I used recreational marijuana. It wasn’t a really big deal until her mom and dad came to visit. She wanted me to get rid of everything that was related to marijuana. I tried to reason with her. After all, we live in a state where marijuana is absolutely legal. I didn’t think it was a big deal since both of us are adults and old enough to legally purchase cigarettes, alcohol, or marijuana. My girlfriend did not agree. We got into quite a big argument and that was the end of our relationship. I never met her mom and dad and I moved my stuff out of the apartment after they were gone for the weekend. I really liked Cassie a lot, but I don’t think we ever would have been able to see eye-to-eye on recreational marijuana and my love of the plant. Honestly, I don’t know why she ever laughed at my joke in the grocery store. The whole reason I asked her out in the first place was because I thought we would enjoy smoking marijuana together. I was totally wrong about that.
