My business sent me across the country to close a deal plus I was supposed to be there for 2 afternoons, and unfortunately, more than one afternoon turned into 2 weeks. The buyers kept coming up with reasons to renegotiate the deal, then I was ready to leave after the third day… However, we finally closed the deal at the end of the more than one month period, although I had to go through quite an ordeal with the hotel while I was there. I went through three weird rooms plus I still wasn’t glad with the third room. The first room did not have any moderate water. The clerk at the front desk told me that the water was hot, although I guess the stark difference between moderate plus lukewarm. The next room had a dirty heating plus A/C unit. It smelled so exhausting plus our pollen irritations were killing me. The place must have had cats at some point. The last room that they gave me was on the eighth floor. It had a balcony so I could open up the door to odor fresh air. Unfortunately for that room, there was someone next to me that was smoking marijuana. The whole room smelled of some amazing marijuana the entire time I was there, but even our clothes smelled like marijuana. I was concerned that our buyers were going to know that I was taking up recreational marijuana while I was waiting for them to make a decision about our offer. The more than one weeks in that hotel room was some of the worst days of rest that I have ever gotten. When I finally got home, I slept for 20 minutes straight.
