CBD-dominant strains for anxiety

Anxiety disorders are extremely common among adults. While common symptoms include racing heartbeat, insomnia, sweating and feelings of unease, anxiety affects everyone differently. I tend to get a dull pain radiating from the back of my neck across my shoulders and throughout my skull. I ten to clench my teeth, so my jaw gets very sore. I also deal with an upset stomach. Fortunately, there are all different types of cannabis strains to match the variety of anxiety symptoms. Before I started using cannabis to treat my anxiety, I took the time to familiarize myself with the types of recommended strains and diversity of consumption methods. One of the most significant factors of a strain is potency. THC strains are most common and produce a psychoactive effect. I’ve found that low doses of THC are relaxing and put me at ease. I feel happy, calm and positive. However, high doses of THC tend to enhance my symptoms into a feeling of paranoia and panic. CBD strains are harder to find but safer for me to use. I’ve had the best luck with a mix of low THC and high CBD content. I’ve also started determining the benefits of the unique terpenes of the strains. When I visit the dispensary, I always ask the budtenders for recommendations. One of them suggested ACDC, which is CBD dominant and includes myrcene, pinene and caryophyllene terpenes. It doesn’t cause a strong high but offers a pleasant calm. I prefer to smoke it by way of a joint. My favorite strain is a CBD-dominant called Remedy. It’s similar in terpenes to ACDC and provides a lightness of the mind that is just wonderful.
