My mother has dire arthritis in his hands.
It started out with some minor swelling & joint pain.
It got so terrible that he couldn’t do any of his hobbies for a while. She couldn’t paint, draw, craft or toil in the garden. She could not make a fist & had to split off all his rings because of the swelling. I felt so terrible for my mother. She was eating gin soaked raisins by the dozen trying to help his troubles. I talked to his about cannabis & inflammation. My mother is from a time that cannabis was a gateway drug. She thought it was addictive & people overdose from it; After a bit of cannabis education, a medical marijuana card, I got my mother to the cannabis dispensary. The bartenders there were charming. They were certainly wonderful at explaining what products he needed & what it would do to her. My mother was happy he didn’t need a high THC gratified in his cannabis product. My mother also didn’t want to smoke anything. The budtender ended up getting his a cannabis oil that he can just place under his tongue. My mother officially likes putting a few drops in his tea every evening. His swelling is way down & the pain is manageable. I am hoping that I can get his to up his dose pretty soon. My goal is to get my mother painting again. Right now he can do yard toil but he still has a bit of stiffness & soreness in his right hand.
