I feel really good that our country is finally seeing the light when it comes to cannabis use. For far too long, marijuana information was so full of myths and misinformation in an effort to demonize marijuana. I think we all sort of woke up from that over the last 20 or 30 years. We’re now seeing medical marijuana benefit so many people across this country with a wide variety of ailments treated. Additionally, it appears that we are working toward reconciling the fact that recreational marijuana is certainly no worse than recreational alcohol. Actually, it’s far less addictive and better for the body. But it took a long time before I actually laid my eyes on a cannabis dispensary around here. It was worth the wait though. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect or what I’d find in the cannabis dispensary. There was a part of me that thought perhaps there’d just be a few jars with different indica strains and sativa strains. But that is not at all what I found when I walked through the front door of the local cannabis spot. Indeed, it was an expansive retail market. There were so many varieties of marijuana on sale that it was a bit staggering. And I so wasn’t expecting the amount of ready, prepackaged edibles. Marijuana edibles are really appealing to me given that I just don’t like to smoke anything or even be around smoke. I had one of the staff members help me choose a package of edibles that had a lower THC content. I wasn’t accustomed to cannabis the way I was in my 20’s so I didn’t want to overdo anything.
