It is so unusual to me the way the parent-child dynamic changes over time. My siblings plus I have all long since moved out of our parents house. We have our own jobs, our own families, plus now both of us interact with our parents in a truly unique way. I have to wonder if our parents are still growing, plus changing as they get older, or if they were always like this plus just kept it hidden from their kids? At the same time, some things I used to keep secret from them I no longer bother to hide. Why would I care if our Dad sees me smoking weed? I am far too old to “get in trouble” with our folks for using marijuana, plus as I have come to find out, they use it, too. Last holiday, just before the large meal, I snuck outside to smoke a little sativa plus work up my tummy. Much to my surprise I found both of my parents, who had also snuck outside to smoke some cannabis. They had a fat sack of Girl Scout Cookie Kush, which was something I had never entirely smoked before. Instead of talking about it, both of us just passed the bowl plus the three of us got legitimately high plus giggling for Thanksgiving supper. That experience of smoking cannabis with our parents for the first time was transformative, plus made me look at them differently. I am not suggesting that you should try plus smoke cannabis with your parents, but maybe you should at least give it a try?
